My photography bug started with a Polaroid camera at a Music Festival in 2008, and I haven’t looked back. I have loved every minute of the journey.
Hi, I am Janhoi Anderson but don’t worry about trying to pronounce it, no one except my family can, so just call me Jay. I am a Oxfordshire Wedding Photographer who captures weddings and portraits all around the UK & Ireland. I have also been fortunate to photograph weddings further afield, Morocco, France, Italy & North Carolina, USA being my latest ventures. Born and raised in London Town I started my career in Fashion buying and merchandising, working for likes of House of Fraser, Harvey Nichols & Selfridges, before finding my passion for photography. After 40 years in London, I have now relocated to the beautiful village of Benson, just outside Wallingford, South Oxfordshire and opened my new studio in the neighbouring village of Crowmarsh.
So…
You will never really find me without a Hat, Cap or some sort of headwear #TogintheHat. I love a good Gin and Tonic, most sports but Football from both side of the Atlantic is my favourite. I am father to humans and now dogs (I am one of those people now). Coffee is definitely my drug and I drink, on average, 4 cups a day. I love a box set, and you will find at the moment of writing this, I am watching Stranger Things (again) and This Country (looks these up on Netflix and BBC Iplayer). If I am not watching Box sets, I am listening to music, Old Skool Hip Hop, Old Skool RnB, Old Skool Soul, Old Skool Jungle and Drum Bass, basically anything from the 80’s & 90’s. Travel is big on my list of things to do as well and we love to just jump in the car or the train somewhere around the UK and Europe, and if we are more adventurous catch a plane further afield.

The way I photograph and film a wedding is a unique mixture of contemporary & creative documentary with stylish portraiture. My style is raw, modern and natural looking.
What defines me from other photographers is my style of photographing, or filming a wedding, event or portrait session, I always want to give my clients that wow factor. This style, characterised by the relaxed and informal approach, is what makes my work distinctive.
For me, I like to seek out beautiful & great details in the backgrounds & settings to complement you and your day. But most important thing about my raw, natural style is that I want everyone to feel comfortable and special.
I approach every wedding with new and fresh eyes. What that means is that although my style will remain the same, I will approach it with you in mind. I love capturing the spontaneity and the spirit of the occasion; and I will produce a unique narration of your day.
