Stephanie & Edward Modern Marylebone Town Hall Wedding
Stephanie and Edward chose to begin their marriage in one of London’s most iconic civic buildings. A place known for its timeless architecture, clean lines and effortlessly cool city backdrop. With a small group of close family and friends, they made things official in a classic London ceremony room that suits my style perfectly. The blend of historic stone, polished interiors and contemporary design works hand in hand with my modern, editorial approach to wedding photography. It’s the kind of environment where my raw, unobtrusive documentary style naturally thrives.
Although this was their “legal bit” before a much larger celebration at the bride’s family home in Buckinghamshire later in the year, they didn’t dial anything down. The day was intimate, but never understated. Sharp outfits, considered styling, and a refined city aesthetic made the whole celebration feel effortlessly put together — exactly the type of setting where my approach really comes to life.
After the ceremony, we made the most of the building’s bold architecture. Its grand steps, pillars, textures and urban surroundings always deliver strong visual storytelling, without having to stage or force anything. With London traffic, pedestrians and the city’s unmistakable energy around us, we captured a series of editorial portraits that felt modern, confident and true to who they are as a couple. Nothing overly posed. Nothing overly perfect. Just stylish, honest imagery.
The reception was held at a restaurant just off Marylebone High Street, adding another layer of London character to the day. A relaxed, cool atmosphere with great food and great conversation. Even with only a few hours of coverage, we created a set of images that felt full, complete and full of personality.
For couples planning a small city ceremony before a bigger celebration later on, this kind of London micro-wedding is the perfect example of how a shorter day can still deliver big style, strong portraits and a story worth documenting with intention.
