Paris…. The City of Love, in Spring, it really lives up to the name! The sunlight, fresh blossoms on the trees, and a sense of calm that’s almost cinematic. It’s the perfect time to photograph a couple in love, especially when the city itself becomes your backdrop.

For this portrait session we went pure editorial, with the bride in full wedding attire for the first session and  then cocktail dress for the evening portraits. The Groom looking as smart in Suit jacket and trousers. Over the top? But where better to bring a vision of romance to life than the iconic streets of Paris.

The day began on the road under the Metro 6 line, famous for the lights that hang from the steel arches that frame the skyline and the Eiffel Tower stood tall across the River Seine. From there, we walked up to the steps of the Trocadero, one of the best vantage points in the City, with again having the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop in beautiful sunlight, the perfect place to capture the connection between the couple and also to add some, how do you say it, “je ne sais quoi” with a bit of flair from Erica.

Later, as the light softened into the evening, we made our way to The Louvre. With its historic arches and glass pyramid, it gave us a timeless final backdrop, cinematic, elegant with little bit of drama. 

And that’s the beauty of a shoot like this, no pressure, no timeline, no rush. Just space to move, breathe and create portraits that feel personal and editorial.
